Our School

Ko wai tātou?

Arakura School is located at the northern heart of Wainuiomata. We are a contributing school – with Year 1 to 6 students. The beautiful hills that surround our top court, field and playground are a rich natural backdrop and setting for learning, exploration and play.

Our roll ranges between 125-150 students.

We are a multicultural school with 51% Māori; 29% NZ European; 14% Pasifika (Samoan, Tongan, Cook Island and Niuean); and 6% other ethnicities (Indian, Filipino, African, Fijian, Chinese, Australian, Thai, and other European).
