The enrolment scheme takes effect from 23rd January 2025.  It is important to note:

• If you pre-enrol your child this year but their start date is after the 23rd January 2025 when the scheme starts, then yes, they will be subject to the enrolment scheme.  The only exception to this is if the child meets the conditions under the “grandparenting” provision.  Note all in-zone students have automatic entry

• To check if you are in-zone, please go to https://www.educationcounts.govt.nz/find-school and enter your address.

Message from the Board

The Arakura School Board would like to inform the school community that it will NOT be balloting for out-of-zone places for next year because the school is starting the 2025 year at capacity.  The Board will review it’s decision at the end of Term 2, 2025.
